Gus Arnheim was born on September 11, 1897, in Philadelphia, PA, and passed away on January 19, 1955, in
Beverly Hills, CA.
Arnheim played the Cocoanut
Grove for eight years, also playing at the Chicago Chez Paree, the New York
Palace, and later touring with the famed “George White Scandals” annual shows in Europe.
As an actor, he appeared in 11 films; he served as conductor/lyricist on four films. Arnheim passed away after suffering a heart attack.
