Dear Raul: Thank you very much for the nice pictures and very informative information on Fred. I am Earl Hawk, FRED’S NEPHEWS WIFE. WE HAVE LOOKED MANY PLACES AND TIMES FOR HIM ,ESPECIALLY, IN OUR MANY TRAVELS, AS WE WOULD LOOK IN CITY PHONE BOOKS, ONLY TO NO AVAIL.WHEN WE FOUND OUT THAT HE LIVED AND WORKED OFF OF SANTA MONICA, BLVD, AROUND HOLLYWOOD AND BEVERLY HILLS, I WAS ABSOLUTELY, FLABERGASTED AND SAD TOO. I HAVE A NIECE THAT LIVED IN GLENDALE.aLSO CLOSE TO HOLLYWOOD AND BEVERLY HILLS. I HAVE BEEN THERE ABOUT FOUR TIMES. WHEN YOU SPOKE OF AND HAD THE PICTURE OF FRED STANDING AT THE SANTA MONICA PIERS, I SAID TO EARL, THAT MUST BE AT THE SANTA MONICA PIERS. THEN I NOTICED THAT THAT’S WHAT IT SAID ABOVE THE PICTURE. I HAVE BEEN OUT TO THE END OF IT AND SHOPPED IN THE NEAT LITTLE SHOPS THERE.I’M NOT SURE ,BUT MAY HAVE EATENAT THE RESTAURANTS, THAT YOIUR FRIEND LARRY MENTIONED. THE NAMES SOUNDED FAMILIAR. I KNOW I HD THE BEST CHILLIE RELLENOS I HAVE EVER HAD IN ONE OF THE MEXICAN RESTAURANTS THERE.I HAVE HAD TE PRIVILEDGE OF BEING AN EXTRA IN CAGNEY AND LACEY, MEETING SEVERAL ACTORS AND ACTRESES AND BETTE MIDDLER. IT IS ALWAYS A FUN PLACE TO GO, AS MY NIECE HAS TAKEN ME TO ALL OF THE FAMOUS PLACES THERE. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL TO HAVE KNOWN THAT FRED LIVED RIGHT THERE AND PERHAPS WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN TO MEET. DID YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW HIS BROTHER JOHN WHOM LIVED OUT THERE ALSO? ALL OF FRED’S BROTHERS WERE WONDERFUL PEOPLE. WE DIDN’T GET TO KNOW JOHN EITHER UNTIL HIS LATER YEARS, BUT HE WAS VERY DELIGHTFUL,FRIENDLY AND HAD SOME GREAT STORIES, ABOUT HIS LIFE IN CALIFORNIA AND ABOUT SOME OF THE STARS HE USED TO DELIVER MILK TO AND SOME HE USE TO BOWL WITH.FRED DEFINITELY HAS THE HAWK HAIRLINE. THEY WRE ALL BALD, EARK TOO. AND GRAY HEADED. ALL OF THEM EXCEPT FOR EARL’S DAD, RAY DIED OF HEARTATTACHES OR SOMEKIND OF HEART PROBLEMS. EARL HAS THEM TO. HE AND OR RANDSONS ARE THE ONLY HAWKS LEFT TO CARRY ON THE HAWK NAME.WE WERE HOPING THAT WE WOULD FIND FRED SOMEDAY, TO HOPEFULLY FIND OUT THAT HE HAD CHILDREN ALSO. YOU CAN TELL BY HIS PICTURES THAT HE TRIED TO KEEP HIMSELF IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. HE DID NOT LOOK HIS AGE. EARL’S DAD DID NOT LOOK HIS AGE EITHER.RAUL, IF YOU EVER READ THESE MESAGES, WOULD YOU PLEASEGET IN TOUCH WITH US.WE WOULD LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU, AND LEARN MORE ABOUT FRED. IT SOUNDS LIKE WE MISSED GETTING TO KNOW A VERY INTERESTING AND NICE PERSON, AND PAART OF THE HAWK FAMILY.ALSO IF YOUR FRIND IN THE PICURES IS STILL ALIVE AND IN TEXAS. WE WOULD LIE TO MET HIM TOO. WE LIVE IN CEDAR CREEK TEXAS, BASTROP COUNTY, ABOUT 20 MILES EAST OF AUSTIN. WEST OF HOUSTON, SOUTH OF DALLAS, NORTH OF SAN ANTONIO..AGAIN THZANK YOU FOR PUTTING THE PICTURES AND INFORMATION ON THE FOREVER LIFE TORIES NETWORTH. IT HAS GIVEN US A WEALTH OF INFORMATION AND HELPED TO FILL A VOID EARL’S AND OTHER FAMILIES SEARCH. FOR OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN ALSO.THANK YOU AGAIN. JEANETTE HAWK. MRS EARL L. HAWK.

Uncle Fred
Thanks to Raul for the great pictures and nice things to say about Uncle Fred. We had searched for him for years and were able to find him here after doing some genealogical research. We are only sorry that we did not locate him before he died as we would have liked to meet our Dad, Ray’s, youngest brother.
