My dearest Uncle Eddie…it’s been six years since you’ve been gone and I hope you have grown accustomed to being an angel..despite where other folks may have think you ended up I know better. You come to me in my dreams and you use me as a voice. Don’t worry, we are all ok down here. Some better than others and some who simply cant find their way out of a paperbag. I’ll bet you are having a hell of a good time up there since your cousin Bobby arrived in January! Dang, you guys best stay out of trouble and take good care of Papa, Luisa & Uncle Lupe, Uncle Mike, Uncle Gilbert “WeeWee”, Ricky, and all the other angels who departed this earth. Oh ya, please give MY DAD WILD BILL a Hamm’s beer and cigarette…tell him that the bobcats still haunt his little girl (in a good way). Tell Papa to continue to watch over ALL of us because I KNOW he does. I hear his voice everytime I come to a difficult point in my life..”Just do it G*d-dammit”…Continue to guide your nephews Alex, Goo, and little vulture…they seemed to have turned out pretty good so far. Another Loss
It’s been awhile and that doesn’t mean that you are not thought of. Time goes by but the memories of all that was life and family still exist. Family and friends are leaving this earthly place for a life everlasting. Such has happened in the past month, 3 as a matter of fact, special people just like you. One you will know and make room for, as all of us did for you while you were here with us. Take special care of them and us too. Hi Daddy….it is weird how you popped up in head today…well my dog had puppies and one of the puppies is white with a black patch around the eye and the first thing i thought came to my head was “YOU LOOK LIKE MY DADDY”…I thought that was weird and she had them around the time you left us five years ago. if it is a boy dog i am going to call him lil shotgun…lol ! i hope he don’t be bad like you….Daddy I miss you so much…i miss your jokes that you thought was funny….lol! Just wondering
Today we were out driving and we saw YOU. You were walking along the street with a book in your back pocket. When we got in front and looked back, it wasn’t you. Things like that will always bring you to mind and we will keep you close in our hearts. Now as the holidays approach we know that all of our lives have been changed forever. Not only with you no longer being here, to see and laugh and talk with, but also because our PAPA is now with you. We have come to realize how fragile time is and that we need to be there for eachother. We are threads of the Benavidez name. Even though we are all in our separate families, we still are BENAVIDEZ. As for us, we will always keep you and Papa close in our hearts………..always.

My Cousin Eddy
I remember when I was small and eddy showed me how to jump from the roof of the garage.He would catch me,one day he was not there, so I went up to the roof and I was about to jump,He got home and ask where was I they said out back , he knew and got there just in time. He took the ladder down and said only when I take you, you can jump into my arms.I belive that from that day I have been in his arms because things have happened to me and I am still alive. I had surgery 31 years this may2002, so every time he came to the studio after his docter vist, he would say hay! whats that, he’d put his finger at my scar and then to my nose,he would say when are they going to put a zipper in . I was fortunate to have lived at ganny & pops, if you’ve lived there you know that Blizzard picked up his mail every day and had the occasional bowl of cereal, which according to Tiny cost “fifty dollars”. When i got my first car Blizzard would say “Hey I’ll fill your tank up if yo take to me to see my friend and then back to Watts”. At sixteen how could I say no to my dads big brother. I will never get lost in the L.A. area because of those days I spent with Blizzard and as GENUINE and REAL the Blizzard was, how could anyone not miss him.

My grandpa was the most traveling person that I met that didn’t have a vehicle (MTA). Nothing could stop him. He would tell me when I would ride the bus with him not to call him grandpa Eddie, to call him Uncle Eddie because he’s too young to be a grandpa. So I would call him Unlce Eddie. My Daddy is the biggest healer, protector and comedian that I know. I will miss hearing the phone ring at 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning and a voice will say “were you asleep Wacky Woo?” and I’ll say “Yes daddy I was and he’ll say “good” I was just calling to see if you was asleep. Everytime that I would be with my Dad and he introduces me to some that he knows, he would tell them that when I was little (in pampers)he would take me into the store with just a pamper on and come out fully dressed from head to toe. Like Trina said we all know the experience that was. I’m going to miss him and his jokes. I Love You Daddy!

My Uncle Buzz
My Uncle Eddie was a kind soul. He never asked for anything…he always kept in touch with an occasional phone call. When I was a little girl, he would take me with him wherever he went…*laughs* Those of you who know him also know what an experience THAT was! One of my fondest memories is when Eddie graduated “College” he took my cousin Alicia and I to every amusement park you can think of, we had a blast. Love Trina

Today we were out driving and we saw YOU. You were walking along the street with a book in your back pocket. When we got in front and looked back, it wasn’t you. Things like that will always bring you to mind and we will keep you close in our hearts. Now as the holidays approach we know that all of our lives have been changed forever. Not only with you no longer being here, to see and laugh and talk with, but also because our PAPA is now with you. My Cousin Eddy
I remember when I was small and eddy showed me how to jump from the roof of the garage.He would catch me,one day he was not there, so I went up to the roof and I was about to jump,He got home and ask where was I they said out back , he knew and got there just in time. He took the ladder down and said only when I take you, you can jump into my arms.I belive that from that day I have been in his arms because things have happened to me and I am still alive. I had surgery 31 years this may2002, so every time he came to the studio after his docter vist, he would say hay! whats that, he’d put his finger at my scar and then to my nose,he would say when are they going to put a zipper in . I was fortunate to have lived at ganny & pops, if you’ve lived there you know that Blizzard picked up his mail every day and had the occasional bowl of cereal, which according to Tiny cost “fifty dollars”. When i got my first car Blizzard would say “Hey I’ll fill your tank up if yo take to me to see my friend and then back to Watts”. At sixteen how could I say no to my dads big brother. I will never get lost in the L.A. area because of those days I spent with Blizzard and as GENUINE and REAL the Blizzard was, how could anyone not miss him.

My Daddy is the biggest healer, protector and comedian that I know. I will miss hearing the phone ring at 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning and a voice will say “were you asleep Wacky Woo?” and I’ll say “Yes daddy I was and he’ll say “good” I was just calling to see if you was asleep. Everytime that I would be with my Dad and he introduces me to some that he knows, he would tell them that when I was little (in pampers)he would take me into the store with just a pamper on and come out fully dressed from head to toe.
