Bennie Lee, Sr. Roberts

Bennie Lee Roberts was born in Birmingham, Alabama on July 9, 1929 to Maggie Lee Roberts. He was raised and educated in Chattanooga, TN. At age 17, he joined the Armed Forces, where he served for 23 years. After retirement from the U.S. Army, Bennie Lee Roberts continued his career as a police officer at the Long Beach Naval Facility. He also completed his education at California State University at Dominguez Hills. He is survived by his wife Irene, eleven children, and 14 grandchildren.
