I was born around 1878 to Markus and Rebecca Blumstein in Poland. As a young woman, I left Poland to live with extended family in Manchester, England. There, I met my husband, Abraham Cohen. We were married in 1899.
In search of a better life, Abraham and I set sail for America. We settled in Los Angeles in 1904, and raised four childen: Esther, Joseph, Rebecca, and Markus.
Throughout our lives, my husband and I owned many local businesses. We had a kosher restaurant, a grocery store, and even owned the Cloudy Ammonia Factory. Our family would remember the Courts and Duplex that we built and managed in our later years.
Yetta Cohen passed away on August 5, 1945.
