Bob was my earliest friend, and our lives touched in many ways: grade school playmates, high school buddies, music, boy scouts, model airplanes, WWII, job hunting, learning to fly airplanes, and finally moving miles apart and keeping in touch by phone and a couple of brief visits. Where did the years go? He was a kind, warm hearted, intelligent, good person, and I am grateful he was my friend. I will miss him very much, but I am thankful for the memories. Chuck Butler
