  1. Cemetery theft

I hope you can help me. My 25 year old son, a fireman, passed away last May. We have gone daily to his site and put beautiful things there. They are always stolen. Beautiful arrangements, baskets of plants and flowers, etc. are taken on a regular basis. We have appealed to the cemetery management and they have told us nothing can be done. It is a Catholic cemetery and the diocese of Cleveland controls it. There is no money for security patrols, cameras or anything else. The workers there keep an eye out, but that is not working. My question is: where do I start in trying to curb this growing problem? We have a person in the family who, when she is home visiting, goes through the cemetery about 4 times a day. I go through in the evening until close. We can’t seem to pinpoint a certain time or scenario when the thieves hit. For all we know, it could be more than one. My son’s grave is not too far off the road, making it easier for someone to hit his spot, run to their car and continue on with his things. I was just wondering where I could start so I searched the web and came up with your address. Any tips or hints you may have would be very, very helpful. Thank you for your time.

    Cheryl
