DESCRIPTION:6PM GATES OPEN \n8PM SCREENING OF DISNEY’S COCO \nABOUT THE EVENT\nThis Year the Hollywood Community-Police Advisory Board (CPAB) has organized a movie night in Hollywood Forever Cemetery\, featuring an outdoor screening of Disney’s Animated Feature: “Coco.” The Hollywood community is invited to attend this FREE\, family-friendly celebration. The event starts at 6:00 pm and the movie will be screened at 8:00 pm. There will live music by the Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Angeles\, face painting\, and freebies. Guests can enjoy tacos by Jorge or Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches\, El Capitan Theatre popcorn\, ice cream\, Hawaiian Ice and other treats served up by Hollywood LAPD Officers and community volunteers. \nWHAT IS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT?\nNational Night Out is an annual community–building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Across the country each year neighborhoods hold gatherings in on the first Tuesday of August\, from small informal block parties to large organized events. Los Angeles is no exception\, with a variety of activities planned around the city.\nThe Hollywood National Night Out event is designed to bring the community and the police together in a fun\, positive\, and relaxed atmosphere. It is a chance for residents\, businesses and community groups to get together and make connections. Hollywood Forever Cemetery has a colorful history and many celebrity “residents.” Charlie Chaplin\, Cecil B. DeMille\, Douglas Fairbanks\, Judy Garland\, Mickey Rooney\, Bugsy Siegel\, and Rudolph Valentino are just some of the notable names from Hollywood’s golden era that are interred there. What could be more “Hollywood” than enjoying an outdoor movie night at Hollywood Forever Cemetery? \nWHAT TO BRING?\nEveryone is encouraged to bring their own blanket or low beach chairs to set up a spot on the Fairbanks lawn to watch the show. \nWHERE TO PARK?\nThere will be NO PUBLIC parking on the cemetery grounds. You can park for FREE at the structure located at 900 N Van Ness. There is pedestrian access to the cemetery via the Van Ness gate. \n
