DESCRIPTION:Dear Simply diVine ticket holder\, \nFirst and foremost we want to thank you\, our community\, for supporting the Center through events like Simply diVine. You are an integral part of our network and we could not do the life-saving work we do without you as a part of our community.  \nWe are sad to announce that we will be fully cancelling Simply diVine for 2020. We were hoping to postpone until later in the year\, but with the increasing risk to our community\, the economic uncertainty and impact on the restaurant industry we feel it’s in everyone’s best interest to cancel. \nAt the Center\, we are committed to providing critical services to those who need it most and we have no intention of doing anything less in this moment of need. There are tens of thousands of people depending on us. We are a “first responder” for our LGBTQ community. We have never walked away from our community during tough times and we will not do so now.  \nWe simply cannot shut our doors or end our services. Access to healthcare is a cornerstone of our mission\, we depend on major fundraising events such as Simply diVine and Aids Life Cycle to fund the life-saving services so crucial to our community. This event directly funds our Culinary Arts Program which supports young adults and seniors with culinary training and employment. This process helps affirm who they are\, gives them daily purpose and provides essential training and life skills that assist with getting them off the streets permanently. \nWe are asking you to please consider giving your Simply diVine ticket purchase to the Center as a donation as an alternative to asking for a refund. Refunds will of course be available to any ticket holder that requires one. To request a refund\, please do so within the next 14 days by emailing emma@hollywoodforever.com. Any ticket purchases not refunded at the end of the 14 day period will be retained by the Center as a donation. If you have any questions regarding donating your ticket to the Center please email events@lalgbtcenter.org. \nTo make additional donations to the Center please follow this link to our website. \nWe will be attempting to reach you all via phone to ensure you stay connected with the Center’s course of action and to answer any questions. \nSending you all safe and healthy vibes. \nThe Los Angeles LGBT Center Special Events Team
