DESCRIPTION:The 97th Rudolph Valentino Memorial Service – Friday\, August 23\, 2024 – Hollywood Cathedral Mausoleum – 12:10pm \nCome celebrate the life and legacy of Rudolph Valentino on the anniversary of his death. \nThis year\, in addition to live musical performances\, poetry reading\, and video presentations\, we will be featuring two very special speakers – Lara Gabrielle and Camreon Richards. \nLara Gabrielle is the author of a new biography on silent film star Marion Davies (another resident of Hollywood Forever). Marion Davies and Rudolph Valentino were voted by theater owners as the “King and Queen of Hollywood” in 1924. Ms. Gabrielle will speak about the many Valentino-Davies connections. \nCameron Richards is the vice president of the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar\, California. Among their prized collection of automobiles is Rudolph Valentino’s legendary Voisin car. The car will be on display\, courtesy of the Nethercutt Museum. Attendees will be able to view the car\, and have a chance to pose for photos after the memorial service. This car has rarely been seen outside the Nethercutt museum in decades. A real treat for fans of Valentino.
