{"id":68998,"date":"2021-07-26T13:19:08","date_gmt":"2021-07-26T20:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hollywoodforever.com\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=68998"},"modified":"2021-10-30T07:58:55","modified_gmt":"2021-10-30T14:58:55","slug":"dia-de-los-muertos-2","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/hollywoodforever.com\/event\/dia-de-los-muertos-2\/","title":{"rendered":"SOLD OUT &#8211; DIA Y NOCHE DE LOS MUERTOS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>THESE EVENTS ARE SOLD OUT<br \/>\nNO TICKETS AT THE GATE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The 22nd Annual D\u00eda de los Muertos festival at Hollywood Forever returns on October 30th 2021 featuring separate daytime and evening events.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cDia de los Muertos\u201d &#038; \u201cNoche de los Muertos\u201d<br \/>\nwill be two separate ticketed events, one daytime and one evening, allowing guests to experience a more intimate look at this year\u2019s theme<br \/>\nTHE RETURN OF QUETZALCOATL<br \/>\nEL REGRESO DE QUETZALCOATL <\/p>\n<p>From the flames of death and destruction we look to the Quetzal bird, the phoenix of the Americas, rising from the ashes, reborn.<\/p>\n<p>Adorned in the feathers of the Quetzal we welcome the Return of Quetzalcoatl, the plumed serpent, ancient God of the Mayans and Aztecs, Priest King, Lord of the Winds and the Harvest Maize \u2013 that seed of civilizations \u2013 and the One God who descends into the underworld and resurrects humankind with his own blood.<\/p>\n<p>With his wise old face wreathed in brilliant feathers he tells us, \u201cI am Quetzalcoatl, the Morning Star. Every morning, I lead the Sun back out of Mictl\u00e1n to be reborn with the dawn. I know the way out of the Land of Death and will guide us back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Friar Diego de Duran believed Quetzalcoatl was the traveling Apostle St. Thomas after the crucifixion. The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints claimed that he was their Savior in the Americas.<\/p>\n<p>Our finely feathered serpent is a Universal Divine symbol for all those who crave resurrection.<\/p>\n<p>Together, we witness the Rebirth of the Phoenix Quetzal.<\/p>\n<p>Together, we invoke the Return of Quetzalcoatl.<\/p>\n<p>TICKETS FOR THE DAYTIME EVENT DIA DE LOS MUERTOS ARE SOLD OUT &#8211; NO TICKETS AT THE GATE<\/p>\n<p>TICKETS FOR THE NIGHTTIME EVENT NOCHE DE LOS MUERTOS ARE SOLD OUT &#8211; NO TICKETS AT THE GATE<\/p>\n<p>PLEASE NOTE: Our All Souls Mass and Procession \u2013 Forever Luz \u2013 will still occur. This event is for property owners and their families.
